1. DecadeWatch Macedonia: Half way of the Roma Decade

  • Participation in Decade progress monitoring on regional level
  • Participation in Decade related policy development and processes on regional level
  • Decade progress monitoring on national level
  • Advocacy for improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of the Decade on national level
  • Building national Decade monitoring capacities on national and local level
  • Monitoring public policies on national, regional and European level from the aspect of their impact on the Roma community
  • Advocacy for incorporation of Roma issues in the public policies on national, regional and European level

2. Building capacities of institutions and support for the implementation of public policies targeting Roma

  • Development of local action plans in the Decade priority areas
  • Training and workshop for the National Coordinative Body for a financial strategy for the Decade and identification of possible funds to match state budget funds
  • Advocacy on issues related to public policies for Roma in the Euro-integration process (inclusion of the issues in IPA plans, EC progress reports, etc)
  • Support for development of project proposals related to issues of Roma and public policies targeting Roma, for EU fundraising
  • Capacity building of the Unit for implementation of the action plans and the strategy for Roma, on strategic planning and project development, management and institutional building
  • Capacity building of the Roma Information Centres on local planning in relation to public policies targeting Roma and connection to EU programs and funds

3. Support and empowerment of the Roma civil society

  • support for implementation of activities of Roma NGOs
  • Technical support to Roma NGOs for strategic planning and project development, management and institutional building
  • Starting activities for advancing the cooperation among Roma NGOs
  • Support to Roma NGOs for advocacy on issues of importance to Roma in front of national and international institutions, including European ones
  • Starting activities for establishment of knowledge, experience and information base of importance to Roma issues
